End of year deadlines and content cut-off 2026

The holidays and year-end are quickly approaching, and we want to provide you with important dates and deadlines to ensure your content goes live when you expect. Digital Service Providers (DSPs) mandate that content be delivered before the dates below.

Please keep the following dates in mind to ensure that your releases are delivered and appear live on time for all partners. Our royalty reporting and payment schedule for the remainder of this year is also provided below.

MUSIC CONTENT SUBMISSION CUT-OFFS (New releases and release edits)

Due to the high volume of content we receive during this time, we do not recommend making edits to your release(s) between December 14, 2026, and January 4, 2027.

We will return to our regular approval schedule on January 4, 2027.

FASTLANE IS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS 

FastLane will be available for the rest of the year, including during our holiday break. When you purchase FastLane, your release moves to the front of our review queue. Our team will make minor corrections directly whenever possible, which keeps your release moving toward delivery. To learn more, see FastLane Approvals.

Please note: Many DSPs also slow down or pause operations at the end of the year, often during the same period as our holiday break. FastLane speeds up our review only. Once your release is delivered, the time it takes to go live depends on each DSP’s ingestion process during the holidays. DSP support is also limited during this time, so any issues that need a DSP’s help may take longer than usual to resolve.

VIDEO CONTENT SUBMISSION CUT-OFFS 

The Video Distribution application will be unavailable from December 19, 2026, through January 3, 2027.

The cut-off to submit music videos in 2026 will be December 18, 2026, at 6 pm EST, but please note any videos submitted on December 18th will not go live until after January 8, 2027.

Music Video submissions will re-open on January 4, 2027.
 

SYMPHONIC OFFICE CLOSURE DATES

November 26 - 29, 2026 for Thanksgiving Holiday.

December 19, 2026, through January 3, 2027, for Holiday Break.

Our offices will re-open on January 4, 2027.

SYMPHONIC HELP AND COMMUNICATION DURING OFFICE CLOSURE DATES

There will be minimal activity and responses from our Client Relations team during the closure dates listed above. We will do everything possible to answer your help requests; however, we encourage you to use our comprehensive online knowledge base prior to submitting a request. 

ROYALTIES – REPORTING AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

We publish statements and pay royalties monthly. Any unclaimed payments always roll forward into the following accounting payment period. Our payment schedule for the remainder of the year will be as follows:

AUG-26

• SplitShare: Ensure that percentages are correct and payees have accepted invites by October 26, 2026
• Expected to post November 2, 2026
• Payment requests are available until November 18, 2026

SEP-26

• SplitShare: Ensure that percentages are correct and payees have accepted invites by November 18, 2026
• Expected to post December 1, 2026
• Payment requests are available until December 17, 2026

OCT-26*

• *Tax Withholding changes will start with this report.  Ensure that your payment & tax information is successfully submitted by no later than December 17, 2026.  More info HERE

• Expected to post January 4, 2027

ACCOUNT AND TAX DETAILS

As part of year-end maintenance, please take a moment to review and update your payment and tax details so that we have your most current information on file.

Submitting your payment and tax details on time is important. Until a valid tax form is on file, Symphonic is required to withhold 24% of untaxed US earnings for US clients and 30% of untaxed US earnings for non-US clients.

Tax form timeline:

• US clients will receive 1099 forms by February 1, 2027.
• International clients will receive 1042-S forms by March 15, 2027.
