Remixing Artists

To list a remixer artist on your track, you need to be editing the track details by scrolling down to the Track section and clicking on Edit next to the track you wish to update.

If your release has already been approved and delivered to partners, follow the instructions on how to make changes to your release

When entering track details, click on +Add Artist. A box will appear, and you will be able to type the name of your artist and assign it the Remixer role.

Guidelines to follow:

  • Do not list remixer artists as a primary artist at the release level. Only list them on the track level.
  • An artist typically should not be both a Primary artist and a Remixer artist on the same track, unless the artist is remixing their own track.
  • Do not enter (mix. artist name) in the Release or Track titles. This information should be added under the Mix Versions fields.
  • An Artist's name cannot be SEO terms, such as Sleep Music, Music for Concentration, Chill, Chillout, etc. Products with artist names that appear to be intended to mislead or confuse users may be rejected and removed from Digital Service Providers. More on our SEO policy here

How remixers show on DSPs:

Remixer is on every track on the release:

If a release contains only one track, or if the same remixer is assigned to every track on the release, that remixer will be credited at the release level.

The release will appear as a main release on the remixer’s artist page, and listener activity (including monthly listeners) will be attributed to the remixer in the same way it is for a primary artist.

This applies only if the release is not classified as Various Artists.

Remixer is not on all tracks on the release:

If a release contains multiple tracks and the remixer is credited on only one track, the remixer will be credited solely at the track level.

The release will appear under Appears On on the remixer’s artist page.
