A TikTok manual claim is how you request that Symphonic step in and claim a sound containing your music so it's properly credited and monetized under your rights. TikTok is now one of the world's largest platforms for music discovery, and because any user can upload audio and add it to their videos, tracks are sometimes uploaded without the correct copyright information or metadata attached. When that happens, the sound may not be associated with you as the original rightsholder, which can lead to missing credits and royalties.
If you notice your music being used on TikTok as a sound that hasn't been matched or credited to you, you can submit a manual claim and we'll communicate directly with TikTok on your behalf to have it properly attributed.
To request a manual claim, log in to your account and navigate to Rights ► TikTok Manual Claim , then submit the requested information. Once submitted, we'll investigate and work with TikTok to claim and credit the sound to you.
Note: Certain criteria must be met before user-generated content (UGC) can be added to our official library and credited. Most importantly, the UGC sound must match the official audio 1:1 — there can be no audio manipulation, added sound effects, extra dialogue, or anything else present in the UGC sound that is not present in the official version. If any of that is present, TikTok won't be able to officially credit the track to us, and therefore to you.
