Below are some key YouTube Services that we offer:

YouTube Content ID

What it is:
Content ID identifies videos across YouTube that use your music and allows you to earn revenue from them.

How it works:
Your audio is delivered to YouTube’s Content ID system. When your music is detected in any video, a claim is created, and monetization is applied.

Example:
If a fan uploads a vlog using your song in the background, Content ID detects it, and you earn ad revenue from that video.

YouTube Publishing

What it is:
This service collects publishing royalties (composition revenue) from YouTube in addition to sound recording revenue.

How it works:
Symphonic registers your composition with YouTube and matches it to videos already identified through Content ID.

Example:
If your song is used in a video, you can earn:

  • Sound recording revenue (via Content ID)
  • Publishing revenue (via Composition)

This creates an additional income stream from the same usage.

YouTube Channel Administration

What it is:
A service to monetize and optimize your official YouTube channel

How it works:
Symphonic helps manage your channel, enable monetization, and improve performance.

Important:
Channel Administration only applies to videos on your own channel—not fan uploads.

Example:
If you upload an official music video to your channel, ads can run on it and generate revenue directly for you.

Distribution to YouTube Music

What it is:
Delivery of your releases to YouTube Music (the streaming platform)

How it works:
Your music appears as official tracks (Art Tracks) and earns streaming revenue similar to Spotify or Apple Music.

Example:
Your album is uploaded to YouTube Music, and listeners streaming your songs generate royalties.

How These Services Work Together

Each service covers a different part of YouTube monetization:

  • Content ID → earns from fan-uploaded videos
  • Composition → adds publishing revenue on top
  • Channel Administration → earns from your own channel uploads
  • YouTube Music Distribution → earns from streaming

Example (full ecosystem):
A single song can generate revenue from:

  • A fan video (Content ID)
  • Publishing royalties (Composition)
  • Your official video (Channel Administration)
  • Streams on YouTube Music
