YouTube Publishing

Symphonic can manage your publishing and composition rights on YouTube — making sure the songwriting side of your music is correctly registered, claimed, and collected. This includes coordinating with rights societies and YouTube’s royalty systems so that writers, composers, and publishers receive the royalties they’re owed when your composition is used in videos.

What it is:
This service collects publishing royalties (composition revenue) from YouTube in addition to sound recording revenue.

How it works:
Symphonic registers your composition with YouTube and matches it to videos already identified through Content ID.

Example:
If your song is used in a video, you can earn:

  • Sound recording revenue (via Content ID)
  • Publishing revenue (via Composition)

This creates an additional income stream from the same usage.
