Meta- Music on WhatsApp

With Symphonic's partnership with Meta (Facebook/Instagram), your content will now be integrated with WhatsApp for use on Statuses. 

WhatsApp users have the option to add up to 60 seconds of music from the Audio Library to their WhatsApp Status. This music can be layered over photos or videos within the Status update. Statuses appear in the 'Updates' section of WhatsApp and are available for 24 hours.

WhatsApp Status is a private, end-to-end encrypted feature, ensuring that users can only share and view statuses with contacts who have both the sender's and receiver's numbers saved (a "dual contact model"). For more information on WhatsApp Status, click here.

A couple of things to note about this feature:

• Music is available only for video or photo statuses. You will not be able to add music to text, GIF, or voice status updates.
• Music is only supported on iOS or Android devices. You will not be able to add Music via other methods.
• The music choices available to you in the WhatsApp Business app might be different.
• Music availability may vary depending on the country you’re based in.
  
  

Will my previously released catalog be available on WhatsApp?

Yes, anything previously delivered to Meta (Facebook/Instagram) will be available for use in WhatsApp. If you do not see your releases available, please contact us and provide the missing UPCs. 

Music on Status is not available on my WhatsApp:

Music on Status is not yet available in some countries, including Brazil.

I can't find my music on WhatsApp

If you're unable to find your content by searching artist name or track title, try the following: 

• Start creating a new WhatsApp status
• Add an image or video.
• Tap the music icon to search for a track.
• In the search bar, type isrc:XXXXXXXXX (replace “XXXXXXXXX” with your track’s ISRC code, with no spaces).
