Content Cut Off Dates for End of Year 2018

And just like that, 2018 is almost done!

As the holidays are approaching, we want to remind you of some important dates and deadlines to keep in mind as we close out the year. First of all, Digital Service Providers (DSP’s) ask to receive content prior to year-end and holidays. Below are the dates you’ll need to keep in mind to be able to properly plan to submit your content and make sure it goes live. In addition, because we are now reporting and paying royalties monthly, the report that would be uploaded at the end of December (for November Royalties) will be available after the Holiday Break.  

 
NOVEMBER CUT OFF DATES
 
For releases with release dates of 11/16 through 11/24 of 2018, please deliver them by November 7th to avoid any delays.
 
DECEMBER CUT OFF DATES
 
For releases with release dates from 12/7 through 12/14 of 2018, please deliver by November 30th to avoid any delays.
 
For releases with release dates from 12/15/2018 through 1/4/2019, please deliver all by December 7th.
 
After this date, we will not be approving any more releases until January 4, 2019.

SYMPHONIC OFFICE CLOSURE DATES
 
Symphonic Distribution offices will be closed: November 22nd and 23rd for Thanksgiving.
 
Symphonic Distribution offices will be closed: December 24th through January 1st for the Holiday Break.
 
Symphonic Distribution offices re-open on January 2nd.
 
ROYALTIES - DELAYED POSTING
 
As you know, we upload statements and pay royalties on a monthly basis. The last day to claim royalties for the 2018 calendar year will be December 20th, 2018. Any royalty requested after this will not be paid out and will be carried over until the next royalty report posting. Royalties for November 2018 will be posted and live on January 3rd, 2019 as our offices will be closed during the Holiday Break.
 
SUPPORT RESPONSES DURING BREAK
 
There will be very limited activity and responses on the Support Help Desk during these times above. We will be enabling an auto bot feature to assist you as much as possible, but do encourage you to use our knowledge base prior to creating a ticket.
 
ACCOUNT AND TAX DETAILS
 
As a part of year-end maintenance, we encourage you to update your account details, payment details, and tax details to ensure that we have the latest information. After the calendar year ends, we will begin to prepare tax documentation to deliver you the proper information by Q1’2019.
