Physical Distribution

In order to apply for physical distribution through Symphonic, you must be a digital distribution client and complete a separate application for physical distribution. Physical distribution is not included in our standard agreement. These services are offered to select distribution clients through our partnership with AMPED.

Additionally, we do not currently offer direct-to-consumer (D2C) physical distribution.

Is It Possible to Seek Outside Physical Distribution?

Yes, you're welcome to use another distributor for your physical releases. 

If you’d rather use another distributor for physical distribution while using Symphonic for digital distribution, that’s absolutely fine. As stated in our agreement, we have exclusive rights to deliver the material digitally only. The physical distributor, however, would not have the possibility of distributing digitally unless the term has expired or we’ve come to an agreement.

Physical Product Manufacturing

We currently do not offer manufacturing services such as vinyl record pressing, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/cassette replication or printing/packaging. For this, we recommend using our partners at A to Z Media.

Territory and Physical Distribution

 The following clause is taken from our Distribution agreement, and this Help Center topic is intended to translate our agreement in a way that can be easily understood.

 Territory: Distribution is worldwide. Any modifications to the territory shall be in the form of a written agreement between parties.

 Physical Distribution not included: Client understands that physical distribution, including pre-manufactured audio products such as CD’s and vinyl records, is not included in this Agreement. Symphonic’s physical distribution services are subject to a separate Agreement.

 These clauses state that we will deliver your material to every territory in the world, but Physical Distribution is not included in this offering.

 From a territory standpoint, we deliver to worldwide partners but you, as a client, have the ability to restrict a territory or two from receiving your content. Further, not every partner is potentially available in worldwide territories. Therefore, even though we will deliver your content to the world, it doesn't mean that the content will be available in every territory in the world. 

 A good example of this is a partner by the name of Yandex. They are based in Russia, thus we may deliver with a worldwide territory but since Russia is what they mainly cater to, the content will only be available in the territory of Russia.

 Lastly, Physical Distribution is a separate process from our Digital Distribution service and is not included or guaranteed with you working with us for Digital Distribution.
