SoundExchange

What is SoundExchange?

SoundExchange is a company that collects digital performance rights from non-interactive music streaming on internet sources – ex. SiriusXM and Pandora.

Who can Symphonic represent on SoundExchange?

Symphonic can collect SoundExchange royalties on behalf of sound recording owners and rightsholders.

Can Symphonic collect the artist/featured artist portion of SoundExchange?

No. Only the artists/players themselves can handle the artist collection. SoundExchange doesn’t allow any third parties (labels, distros, aggregators) to claim any portion of that revenue.

If you want to start an account to collect your artist portion, contact SoundExchange here.

What territories are covered?

The US is SoundExchange’s strongest territory, but Symphonic now offers Neighboring Rights collection through SoundExchange if you want to collect monetization for additional territories.
